About you and this Role
Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist located in Navi Mumbai or New Delhi India.
This position is responsible for sales of Specialty Plastics products in Infrastructure, Consumer and Power/Telecom Cable industry in India SC region. Ideally the individual responsible for this role will reside in our Navi Mumbai office and will need to travel. The position involves strategic management of current sales. Account management skills around price, volume and product mix management are required to optimize profitability of current portfolio of products.
Beyond today's sales, a key objective is an ambitious growth strategy. The individual assuming this role will need a strong focus around value growth. This will require developing strong, in-depth relationships with customers in the assigned region. It will require a mentality to hunt for and convert opportunities. A deep knowledge of customer un-met needs and potential Dow solutions will be important. Strong teamwork will be required between the individual assuming this role and other functions contributing to our growth initiatives. This would include Marketing, Sales Service, Technical Service and Research & Development among others.
Responsibilities
+ Manage large and medium accounts for Packaging business in India SC with business size of over 90 USDMM. The incumbent requires strategic thinking and negotiations skills to defend our leading position at this customer. Channel management skills and essential to ensure growth momentum for the business.
+ Customer Penetration and Relationships: Achieve high penetration at assigned customer base and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization.
+ Utilize Tools and Teams: Effectively use available tools and develop multi-functional account teams to build customer relationships and create account plans for key customers.
+ Sales and Negotiation: Represent Dow effectively, negotiate supply contracts, manage customer pricing strategically, and convert opportunities into sales growth.
+ Service and Issue Resolution: Deliver high levels of service, resolve quality or service issues promptly, and work with customers to identify unmet needs.
+ Product and Market Knowledge: Maintain a high degree of knowledge on product lines, understand PE and HPC markets, and stay informed about market trends and competitive intelligence.
+ Teamwork and Strategy Implementation: Work closely with sales-related functions to foster teamwork, implement business strategies, and develop sales plans for the assigned territory.
+ Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop forecasts on anticipated customer product consumption, work within budget guidelines, and manage sales terms and credit effectively.
+ Safety and Mentorship: Accomplish duties safely, participate in safety meetings and performance management activities, and mentor newer employees as required.
Qualifications
+ Minimum bachelor’s degree or any degree in engineering required. MBA degree in marketing will be an added advantage.
+ 5 to 9 years of technical sales or sales related experience desired.
+ Demonstrated experience managing existing business (negotiation, price management, issue resolution).
+ Track record of hunting for and converting sales opportunities a plus.
+ Demonstrate high levels of motivation and deliver outstanding sales results.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
+ Execute against all job requirements while maintaining very high level of safety awareness.

Additional notes
+ No Relocation support is provided on the role.
+ Person can work from New Delhi or Navi Mumbai location but should be ok to travel to Navi Mumbai office as and when required.
+ The role is expected to travel: 60% - 80% which is all business travel.
