Senior Sales Manager – Reuters, The Insurer
This hybrid position will be based in London.
The Insurer - now part of Reuters - is a leading provider of insights and analysis for the global reinsurance industry. We specialize in delivering high-value content to our clients through premium subscriptions. We're seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to drive new business across our Advertising, Partnership and Sponsorship revenue streams. You'll play a key role as part of Reuters Professional and will grow The Insurer's client base and enhance our product offerings in close collaboration with, and reporting into, our Commercial Director.
You'll be focused on driving business objectives, hitting targets with defined commercial accounts. While working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, you will be challenged with proactively searching for clients (with support from marketing & sales teams) and generating sales to help continue to develop this fast-growing business unit. This is a team-oriented group that promotes innovative thought and idea sharing.
About the Role
As Senior Sales Manager at The Insurer, you will:
Identify and secure new accounts within the global insurance industry and related sectors. You'll foster and maintain strong relationships with clients across the industry, understanding their needs and delivering tailored content solutions.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve The Insurer's revenue targets.
Collaborate with clients to enhance our services and explore new revenue opportunities.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. You'll engage with stakeholders across the insurance value chain to promote our offerings.
Collaborate with the Commercial Director to refine commercial packages and pricing strategies.
Accurate forecasting of revenue, and unit targets; consistent updates of all CRM systems / reporting on market and competitor activities
Build and maintain strategic account plans for key target customers
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Sales Manager at The Insurer if you have:
Demonstrable experience in sales and business development within the insurance industry or related sectors.
Strong understanding of the insurance value chain and ecosystem.
Existing relationships with key players in the insurance industry are highly desirable.
Strong consultative sales expertise and negotiation skills; the ability to take a medium-to-long term approach with a set of highly strategic clients
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Ability to understand client needs and deliver high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong experience leading and driving opportunities from conception to close, working cross-functionally across the organization
Experience developing and reporting on a sales pipeline
