Senior Sales Manager - France
What You’ll Do We are looking for a motivated and strategic Senior Sales Manager to lead new business acquisition efforts in France. This role is critical to Avalara's growth strategy in the region and will focus on selling our core tax compliance solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers. You will have a track record in SaaS or financial technology sales with experience in indirect tax technology or within ERP ecosystems. Knowledge of the French business and regulatory environment is essential. Beyond individual sales responsibilities, you will also contribute to local go-to-market strategy, marketing plans, and partner sales. You will report to the GM of International Operations. #LI-REMOTE What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will drive new customer acquisition in France across mid-market and enterprise segments. You will manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, demonstrating a consultative sales approach tailored to each client's tax and compliance needs. Develop a territory plan aligned with Avalara's broader EMEA strategy. Collaborate with Marketing to design and support region-specific campaigns that drive lead generation and market visibility. Stay current on tax legislation and trends in France to position Avalara as a trusted advisor. Provide feedback on regional needs to influence Avalara's product and go-to-market direction. What You'll Need to be Successful 5+ years of B2B sales experience, in SaaS, FinTech, ERP, or tax technology. Knowledge of the tax compliance / indirect tax in France. Experience in new business sales with experience in meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Experience working with or selling to ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Fluent in French and English (spoken and written). Strong Experience responding to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests.
