About the Role – Senior Sales Manager (or Sales Director)
This is not a “sit in the tower” leadership role. We're seeking a hands-on, high-accountability sales leader who will transform a stable, capable but under-coached/mentored team into a high-performing, outbound-first sales machine. You’ll be coaching on calls, running strategy, owning KPIs, and building scalable sales infrastructure that delivers results.
 
Reporting into the VP of Sales and working closely with marketing, you’ll lead both Account Executives and BDRs in an environment that prizes urgency, structure, and clarity. The company is aiming for 50% YoY growth — and you'll be a key driver of that trajectory and shaper of that strategy.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and motivate AE & BDR teams to consistently hit and exceed targets Own top-of-funnel metrics including dials, connect rate, pipeline creation, show rate, and conversions Build and optimize outbound sales strategies and cadences; help shift the culture from reactive to proactive Conduct regular coaching and call reviews; participate in high-value opportunities as a player-coach Drive sales enablement and onboarding with support from marketing and revops Partner cross-functionally with founders, CS, and product to deliver revenue insights and feedback loops Help push the team up-market toward larger mid-market and enterprise accounts (deal sizes $25K–$80K+) What Experience You Need
We're looking for someone who blends leadership maturity with the fire-in-the-belly needed to win in a Series A scale-up.
 
✅ Sales Leadership & Coaching
Minimum 5 years of SaaS sales experience Minimum of 2+ years leading quota-carrying AE teams (not just SDRs) Proven coaching success — you elevate your team’s performance through mentorship, not just metrics ✅ Outbound-First DNA
History of building outbound playbooks and activity-based sales culture Comfortable driving net-new revenue with limited inbound support Passionate about pipeline ownership and accountability ✅ Data-Driven & Operationally Strong
Skilled at KPI tracking, funnel analysis, and performance reviews Salesforce, Gong, Salesloft, and AI-tools like Clay/Nooks should be second nature Able to interpret and act on conversion rates, ramp data, quota pacing, etc. ✅ Cultural Fit
Based in the Toronto/GTA region — able to commute to a downtown office 3x/week Adaptable, low-ego, hungry to learn and lead in a fast-moving environment Has experience with 60–90 day mid-market sales cycles and can accelerate team velocity What’s in It for You
