The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Senior Safety Specialist** to join the team in **Renton, WA** . The 737 Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team is looking for a Safety Specialist to provide support for the 737-production system. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance, providing influence and decision making throughout the site. **Position Responsibilities:** + Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment + Develops and leads training and instructions + Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations + Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies + Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues + Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections + Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions + Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods + Leads a team of safety professionals **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor’s degree or higher + 5+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) + 5+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits + 1+ years of project management experience **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals + Experience with ordinance, and government contracts **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. **Pay & Benefits:** At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
