Senior Risk Manager, Tax/Trade Compliance - EU 3P (Seller Services)
Description In EU, we continue to observe an unprecedented wave of legislation that impacts Selling Partner (SP) experience, constrains selection and jeopardizes growth. This increases the complexity and cost of selling in EU and makes compliance the primary barrier to SP launches in the region. As a Sr Risk Manager in EU3P Compliance programs - you will define the strategy and execution plans to programmatically scale a high visibility and complex tax or trade compliance program across EU and UK. You will influence cross VP organizations to (1) define the seller experience and engagement programs to increase compliance, (2) shape the risk appetite for executive leadership, (3) design and implement the seller enforcement and regain strategy for EU and UK marketplaces, (4) design, implement and lead simplification initiatives and (5) support defining auditing strategies so they continuously raise remaining risks and develop mitigations. The ideal candidate is motivated and agile, has experience in risk management, compliance or auditing and has strong project management skills. This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills. Key job responsibilities - understand the compliance requirements for Amazon and our Sellers arising from specific legislation(s) - shape the risk appetite for executive leadership, - review seller enforcement strategy for EU and UK marketplaces including reporting mechanisms, - review the evolution of controls to monitor compliance and improve risk posture - lead review & auditing strategies so they continuously identify remaining risks and develop mitigations About the team EU 3P Compliance is a business team that works at the intersection of 1) sellers - helping them to comply with requirements 2) amazon - reducing financial exposure and risks that we are facing 3) authorities - partnering to support their needs in a business friendly way Basic Qualifications - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Experience in compliance, audit or risk management - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification - Master's degree or equivalent - Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
