About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics consultant
In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk AnalyticsReview and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming modelsBe responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governanceResolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goalsLead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staffPartner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
A credit risk management analyst with at least 5 years of BI/BA responsibility within commercial/consumer lendingAdvanced degree in Statistics/Finance/Engineering/other quantitative disciplinesUnderstanding of bank regulatory data sets and other industry data sourcesProficiency in Advanced SAS,SAS macros and SQL; Python Tableau or BI/automation tools Having good working knowledge in Unix environment and knowledge of handling data in Teradata/SQLDemonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes
Job Expectations:
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciencesRelevant experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry domain.Relevant experience creating artifacts such as procedure documents, flow charts, and control evidence.3 years of experience in SAS & SQL and one of the visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.3 years of Risk experience.3 years of experience in Data Quality/Data Defects/Data Governance3 years of experience with applying and executing, reviewing controls or assurance with business processes.Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts.Strong analytics skills and comprehensive understanding of financial services products and risk driversAbility to lead project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
