Senior Risk Analyst
Senior Risk Analyst This position will be responsible for process delivery supporting and enhancing risk governance, underwriting risk, operational risk reporting and reviewing financial and underwriting risk models for AIG México reporting to Chief Risk Officer - Latin America and Caribbean that will be based in México. Responsibilities Include: Risk models Governance + Assist with the review of Financial and Underwriting Risk models: + Enhance and streamline risk model documentation Committee Governance + Support the effective operation of the AIG México risk-governance processes + Writing papers for committee updates + Assist in the production of meeting packs + Attending committees and taking minutes Reporting Deliverables + Support the execution of the ORSA process and documentation, drawing together contributions from different SMEs into a coherent document for approval by the Board + Support the annual risk review of the business plan and timely delivery of the report for approval by the Board + Help to coordinate reports from risk coordinators for the relevant committees + Ensure the risk-appetite framework is up-to-date and reflects current practices + Support AIG International Risk Management on various projects and initiatives as required + Perform ad-hoc requests to assist underwriting decision making Support Stress Testing + Support the delivery of Solvency Testing + Propone ad-hoc stress tests as required for internal and external purposes e.g., Global AIG stresses, + Deliver support and guidance on current and emerging risk issues and contribute to the presentation of risk issues across the business Operational Risk Governane + Deliver support and guidance to Risk Control and Self Assessment and operational risk event capture program + Support the operational risk event capture program + Support the maintenance and updates of the Risk Register, and provide training where required + Assist with the effective communication and presentation of Operational risk Profile Internal Control System + Assist Local Controller in planning and monitoring core processes and in identifying areas for support in workflows, systems, and reporting. + Support on current practices and procedures, presenting findings and making recommendations for improvements in processes and controls. + Conduct ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations and make any necessary additions + Assist with the effective communication and presentation of internal control Profile Experience & Qualifications Required + Actuary background + Strong experience of preparing high-quality analyses + Strong experience of drafting papers, with an ability to describe complex ideas in a simple way, including clear recommendations and conclusions + insurance sector, risk concepts and Solvency II requirements background. Knowledge and practical experience of: + Developing and implementing ORSA processes + Designing and deploying risk-management tools including KRIs, Risk Reviews + Emerging Risk issues + Committee administration and minute taking + Operational Risk Management Processes + Risk Modelling (VaR, Expected Loss, Severity and Frecuency models) + Audit and compliance processes + Financial statement disclosures + Awareness of the uses and limitations of statistical approaches + Awareness of Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) #LI-MF1 #LI-AIG At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
