Find your roleWe're recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager. As a Senior Finance Business Partner for Retail Operations, you’ll work closely with regional managers, store leadership, and central retail support teams to provide insight, challenge, and guidance that drives operational performance and cost efficiency. This is a key role for a commercially savvy finance professional who wants to be at the heart of how our stores run day-to-day, helping ASDA deliver value to our customers while improving store performance and supporting strategic initiatives.Your role

Partnering with the Retail Operations leadership team to provide financial insight into store performance, labour productivity, and other customer service metrics.Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales performance, wages, availability, waste and shrinkDevelop and enhance financial reporting and reporting tools for use by non-financial stakeholders.Challenge data integrity to ensure quality and accuracyCollaborate with data and analytics teams to improve the quality and timeliness of insights.Challenge inefficiencies and support initiatives aimed at cost reduction and operational improvementApplies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organisation's goals Develop solutions based on an understanding of the business environment and objectives Work closely with Controllership and other Commercial Finance teams Work with all relevant areas of the business that serve the financial accounting, reporting and control requirements e.g. shared services, to ensure accurate financial reporting and full compliance with financial regulations / accounting standards "Let's find out about you" Be a qualified accountant Have a strategic mindset and can see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies Have in depth commercial understanding of the Retail grocery marketAbility to makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems Have strong analytical and strategic capability Demonstrate your experience in leadership, coaching and team development Able to communicate complex matters simply and effectively to non-financial stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong trusting relationships Ability to be highly independent and to challenge and collaborate at a senior level across the business
