Senior Resident Engineer - Infrastructure and Utilities

Key Responsibilities: + Lead the on-site supervision and management of infrastructure and utilities works, including roads, drainage, water supply, electrical, telecom, and other civil works. + Oversee and coordinate the activities of site engineers, inspectors, and technical staff, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance. + Review and approve construction plans, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations. + Monitor contractor performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely project delivery within budget. + Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential project delays or safety risks. + Prepare and present detailed progress reports, technical assessments, and project status updates to senior management and clients. + Foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution. + Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and project safety plans. + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). + Minimum of 20 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities supervision, with at least 10 years in a senior resident engineer or site supervision role within a construction consultancy in Abu Dhabi. + In-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s regulatory frameworks, municipal authority standards, and site inspection procedures. + Strong technical expertise in civil infrastructure, utilities, and roadworks. + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Professional registration (e.g., Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer) is an advantage.
