Job Description:

Senior Resident Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Resident Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing a team to deliver Operational Maintenance requirements

Working closely with the client to understand their needs

Identifying and reporting issues along with developing mitigation plans

Plans, schedules, and supervises all field engineering activities

Exercises administrative authority over field engineering work

Controls and coordinates field engineering operations

Prepares construction and procurement schedules

Conducts subcontract negotiations

Provides technical guidance to support construction operations

Ensures compliance with company procedures and industry best practices

Willingness to relocate to construction site locations as required

Plans, organizes, and ensures proper staffing for all field engineering activities and support operations

Oversees execution and monitors progress of field engineering work

Provides guidance on scope, schedules, procedures, and technical issues related to construction

Estimates budgets and determines staffing needs based on project scope and timeline

Establishes and maintains quality control for construction engineering in the field

Collaborates with construction management to identify and eliminate environmental, safety, and health hazards

Ensures all personnel follow safe work practices in line with site-specific procedures and industry standards

Builds and maintains strong relationships with project design engineers, clients, and contractors

Maintains essential project documentation such as control records, design drawings, specifications, change orders, and back-charge documents

Monitors contractor performance to ensure adherence to schedules and project specifications

Conducts performance evaluations for assigned team members

Makes decisions on long-term planning, scheduling, budgeting, priorities, and personnel management

Advises management on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters

Regularly communicates with upper management and client representatives

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in construction

Minimum of 12 years of experience in field construction

Experience in large civil, structural, and/or industrial projects, both National and international


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

An ability to build collaborative relationships to deliver successful project outcomes

An ability to work in a fast paced project environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in the management and delivery of operational maintenance

Some supervisory experience is desirable
