Senior Regional Operations Manager, Safety - France

**About the Role**
The France and Northern Europe Safety Team is responsible for enabling sustained business growth. This is achieved by building an industry-leading safety and standards program.
As a Senior Regional Operations Manager, you will lead critical projects and core operational activities that advance Uber’s safety mission across the Mobility and Delivery businesses in France. Your work will ensure Uber is recognized as the platform of choice when it comes to safety. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, love solving problems, thrive in a hyper-growth culture, and be passionate about the safety of people and cities in which we operate.
You will analyze complex issues, develop practical solutions, communicate your insights to the business, partner with multiple stakeholders, and implement changes for immediate business impact. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the design, execution, and management of your projects. Your work will have a tangible impact, improving safety in the Mobility & Delivery space in France.
**What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points**
\-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ----
1. Understand the business objectives and plans for France and Northern Europe in order to advise on safety implications and give strategic recommendations to senior management
2. Track safety KPIs, identify trends, conduct root cause analyses, and turn data into actionable insights to drive improvements in our safety metrics across the region
3. Design and implement scalable initiatives (ie. innovative tech solutions, new processes, or policies) to prevent/reduce safety incidents on the platform by working closely with cross-functional teams across EMEA
4. Review and support the resolution of critical safety incidents in partnership with our cross-functional teams in France and Northern Europe
5. Identify and close gaps in current safety processes, policies, and features
6. Support the launch of education campaigns, strategic partnerships, and other initiatives to promote safety on the platform
\-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ----
1. More than 4 years of experience in operations, consulting, engineering or related fields
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (Excel / Google Sheets required)
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
5. Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and eager to learn
6. Fluency both in French and English languages.

1. Familiarity with the regulatory and public policy landscape in France
2. Proficiency in using data to drive decisions – including building dashboards, SQL skills
3. Academic background in engineering, mathematics, data science or a related field with demonstrated ability to apply structured and analytical thinking to complex problems
