Job Summary:
We're growing! Join our Canteen team as a Senior Regional Director! This role is based in the Florida Panhandle or Birmingham, AL (relocation assistance available). The region includes three primary Canteen offices in Montgomery, Birmingham, and Tallahassee, with additional sub-offices. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will lead a team of three District GMs and approximately 175 associates, with 50–60% travel expected and the remainder of the time spent working from a branch office.
The ideal candidate will bring strong multi-unit leadership experience, particularly in managing remote locations, and must have a solid background in P&L ownership. Experience in vending, unattended retail, coffee, and pantry services is strongly preferred. Key priorities include achieving fiscal goals, developing talent, and driving operational excellence. A typical day may involve engaging in team meetings, visiting branches and sub-branches, evaluating operational performance, mentoring DGMs, and ensuring strategic goals are met. The role also includes high-level client engagement, contract negotiations, and daily collaboration with the sales team to support new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and manage the regional budget with overall P&L accountability for the assigned region
+ Ensure quality control systems are thoroughly detailed and closely adhered to
+ Assure the highest levels of client and customer happiness, account retention, strong employee relations, and achievement of financial goals
+ Foster and maintain direct contact with clients to ensure strong, positive relationships
+ Coordinate and direct all regional activities through subordinate managers and directors, ensuring operational optimization
+ Efficiently implement central initiatives to meet fiscal goals, drive personnel development, and support new business growth
+ Engage in team meetings, visit branches and sub-branches, observe operational performance, and collaborate with DGMs to mentor and develop their teams
+ Support high-level client relationships, participate in meetings and contract negotiations, and work closely with the sales team to drive new business development
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred
+ At least 7 years of meaningful experience, preferably with multi-unit and remote location management
+ Confirmed experience in successfully handling P&L budgets
+ Strong background of client or customer happiness
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
