With over 20 years’ experience in workers compensation claims management, a unique opportunity exists to join a new DXC team. DXC are currently partnering with a reputable Government Health Organsiation, setting up their Wokers' Compensation Department and would love you to join the team as a Senior Recovery Officer.
The Senior Recovery Officer is a key role in managing the recovery of workers' compensation claims, ensuring the organization recovers funds from third parties, subrogation claims, and other avenues. This senior-level position requires expertise in workers' compensation laws, subrogation processes, and financial recovery strategies. The role involves leading recovery efforts, coordinating with legal, medical, and claims teams, and managing complex and high-value recovery cases to optimize the company’s financial outcomes.
Key elements to this role include
Provide assistance with triage of all Third Party Service Provider invoices and determine in accordance with prescribed criteriaMonitor reconciliation of all imaged files with hard copies to ensure all relevant documents are dispatched daily and statistics maintainedUndertake quality audits of both onshore and offshore payments processedProvide outcomes of quality audits to Team Leader and Process Operations ManagerDaily & Weekly reporting to Team Leader and Process Operations Manager in respect to volume and productivityRetrieve batched invoices to resolve queries raised and review for paymentRetrieve batched invoices for quality review and audit purposesMonitor daily batching to ensure process is maintained as per procedureIdentify opportunities for process improvementsParticipate in Kaizen EventsTo be successful
Advanced knowledge of workers' compensation laws and recovery processes.Expertise in subrogation and third-party recovery strategies.Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage and oversee complex cases and multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Proficient in using workers' compensation and claims management software.Strong leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and training team members.Flexible working arrangements
