Your Role and Responsibilities

Working as a Senior Project Manager within our world class Motion High Power R&D organization in Helsinki Finland, you will oversee the execution of product development projects in our Industrial drive and Renewable power business lines in our journey towards to enable a low carbon society. The role is based in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki.

In this role, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction at all stages of the project, as well as guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the project team.

You will mainly be responsible for:

Leading efficiently the project and the project team to deliver the pre-defined deliverables by proactively addressing project bottlenecksDefining project plan and the priority between the scope, budget, schedule, risk management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Monitoring and controlling project implementation to ensure achievements of commitments and targeted milestones and gatesBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with the steering committee and the other stakeholders, by communicating effectively with themManaging the project according to agreed requirements, ensuring that all targets are met, and that relevant guidelines are followedMonitoring progress, financials and quality with agreed KPIsEnsuring understanding of customer value and business case, acting to ensure customer satisfaction and expectations.Organizing the reviews that guarantee high quality and the acceptance of project result

Qualifications for the Role: 

Several years’ experience of leading product development projects, experience from other roles in R&D organization is appreciated  Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, scheduling and vendors/subcontractorsPreferably wide knowledge of frequency converter technologyDeep knowledge of project management processes like gate model and lean principlesManagement experience in project execution, with strong, well-developed communication and presentation, influencing and coaching skillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, e.g. electrical, mechanical or software engineeringFluent oral and written EnglishAn entrepreneurial mindset and a professional, “hands-on” workstyleAbility to navigate in a dynamically changing and multi-cultural environment, flexible with creative thinking
