Your Role:

As the Senior Manager of Tangential Flow Filtration R&D, you will lead a team of engineers and scientists to develop advanced Tangential Flow Filtration Products and Solutions for bioprocessing customers. You will execute MilliporeSigma’s leading Tangential Flow Filtration Product and Technology development roadmap, through vision, optimal resource deployment, prioritization, and timely product launches. You will collaborate with Product Management, Strategy, Business Development, and Manufacturing, to ensure creation of a quality pipeline and smooth project execution. You are responsible for ensuring competitive Intellectual Property position through securing own IP, supporting freedom to operate analysis, patent monitoring, and patent portfolio management. The R&D Senior Manager of Tangential Flow Filtration will ensure the team is staffed with breadth and depth of skills and engaged talents to deliver competitive solutions for customers’ immediate and future needs. You will be responsible for driving innovation through focused technology development projects and external collaborations.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

Instrumental in driving innovation and execution of technology development/new product development program by engaging and empowering the teamCollaborate across franchise and sectors to identify and drive innovative concepts  Work with Product Management closely and play a key role in creating Tangential Flow Filtration technology roadmaps and innovation strategiesEnsure that the group’s skills and capabilities are correspondingly high to achieve the strategic objectives of the group and manage effective allocation of resources among multiple projects. Provide technical consultation, mentorship, or serve as a Tech Lead in PDP/TDP programs. Provide guidance to the team to effectively work with internal and external partners Create an open and collaborative environment, foster intra-team communication, provide visibility to all team members, support initiative and risk taking Create and actively manage Operating and Capital Expense plans through liaise with ControllingSupport manufacturing and customers on product issues and process improvements with technical expertiseThought leader in separation science and collaborate with the global scientific community Local travel up to 15%

This role will be onsite and based out of Bedford, MA. 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

B.Sc. in chemistry/chemical engineering or equivalent with more than 15 years, or MS with more than 12 years, or PhD with more than 10 years of industrial experience in a related technical area.Track record of innovation   Demonstrated people leadership and engagement skills Experience driving cross functional teams with proven success Proactive and self-directed, ability to take calculated risks and high level of learning agilityAn ability to motivate others and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders Broad internal network and established relationships in the industryDemonstrated experience and fluency in intellectual property development and managementStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability to create and deliver compelling presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Filtration and Downstream BioProcessing a plus.
