As a [Senior Quality Engineer] at Terex/Genie, based in [Changzhou], you'll play a pivotal role in quality management.

What you’ll do

Provide support and administration of quality systemsDevelop quality control systems in supplier chain, production to ensure steady quality on materialLead Nonconformance Review for issue root cause identification as well as corrective and preventive actionsProvide strong visibility of nonconformance issues, associated projects, and progress in the form of a dashboard-style format with critical success indicatorsDrive, design and manufacture quality improvements utilizing a data-based decision-making approach, rapid problem resolution, collaboration with engineers and internal customers and relentless continuous process/engineering improvementsAnalyze the effectiveness of the quality system and coordinate quality related issues with other departments, suppliers and customersAnalyze current quality monitoring methods, systems, and tools and develop and implement new ones to increase effectiveness and efficiencyPromotes use of statistical analysis for determination of improvements, and provides analyses to support risk mitigationImplement quality plans for new or revised materials and/or productsSupport line audits as well as First Article and receiving inspection functionsEvaluate work methods, procedures, and policies while also coaching and mentoring functional groups and departments on quality processesWork cooperatively with all members of the Supply Chain and Product Development teams and with third-party manufacturers.Support new product development teamsGenerate training materials and programs as required, and conduct training sessions to support quality systemEnsuring all products are manufactured in compliance with product requirements, safety standards and design specifications, including fixture and tooling analysisIdentify areas of systemic weakness and leads initiatives to implement corrective actionSupports efforts in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering to develop plans for continual improvement of product and process quality


What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering or technical degreeStrong Welding process knowledge2+ years of industrial experience.Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to influence Ability to compile and analyze dataUnderstanding SPC, and process capability determinationTechnical expertise to identify root cause through data analysisAbility to evaluate, develop and implement improvements quicklyExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach other team membersAbility to work independently and within a teamAbility to coordinate assignments among multiple support groups and provide direction for project team membersAbility to evaluate product and process change requests to ensure product quality is not compromisedAbility to work well under compressed time constraintsAbility to manage multiple tasks/projects at one timeUnderstanding of precision measurement instrumentsHands-on manufacturing/engineering experience in a fabrication/assembly shop environmentExperience supporting an ISO Quality System Ability to eliminate Quality challenges using poke-yokes and Zero QC techniquesAbility to navigate various welding codes and standards such as AWS B2.1, D1.1, D1.2, and D14.9 along with design requirements as specified by Terex.Ability to create and implement welding procedures.Understanding of weld inspection equipment and their applications.  Ability to inspect welds using these tools and other methods.Basic knowledge of various forms of NDT, specifically MT and PT with the ability to apply these methods.
