QUALITY Sr. Engineer
The Quality Sr. Engineer must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas
Industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a Brownfield environment such as Refineries, Gas
Plants or LNG Facilities. Also he must have a projects experience in small and major projects.
The Quality Sr. Engineer must be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or
Quality discipline from a recognized International Institution and be preferably
Professionally Qualified (e.g.\: CEng, PE, EUR Ing, or equivalent Quality professional level
such as CSWIP).
It is mandatory that the Quality Sr. Engineer can demonstrate previous experience in working
under Quality Standards.
The Quality Sr. Engineer must be fully familiar with Oil & Gas Quality Systems and the rigorous Quality Procedures and Guidelines outlines under DEP’s and QVMS’s.
The Quality Sr. Engineer coordinates the application of the Company Quality Management
System to the project, reporting to the Project Lead.
Duties include\:
1- Ensuring the definition of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) and
preparation and distribution of the plan and procedures for project quality in accordance
with the Company Quality Management System;
2- Ensuring that general project procedures are verified in accordance with the planned
times and responsibilities assigned in the Project Quality Plan (PQP);
3- Ensuring that the integrity of the Company Quality Management System is maintained
when changes are made to the system for the project;
4- Ensuring, within the project organization, the planning and performance of activities
aimed at promoting the quality requirements specified by the Client;
5- Ensuring that the correct implementation of the Project Quality Management System
(PQMS) is checked and monitored through the planning and implementation of a quality
audit programme that takes account of the status and importance of project processes;
6- Ensuring, in compliance with Company procedures, the issue and filing of quality reports
and audit reports, including those relating to follow-ups on agreed corrective actions;
7- Conducting, when required by the contract and in accordance with criteria and
procedures defined by project management, external inspection checks to assess the
Quality Management System of suppliers for Project qualification purposes;
8- Ensuring management of nonconformities including checking that the functions
responsible keep non-conforming products under control;
9- Promoting, when opportune, appropriate actions in order to prevent or eliminate
potential nonconformities and their causes;
10 Supporting the Project Lead in relations with the Client and with the Authorities
responsible for quality matters;
11- Ensuring the systematic collection of lessons learned from the individual project in order
to continually improve processes.
12- Ensuring the preparation of quality control specifications for the construction works,
coordinating and agreeing the checks by the Technical Departments and Client;
13- Ensuring the issue of quality requirements to be incorporated, also in the contractual
documents, with suppliers and organizations in charge of works, also coordinating issue
of the construction quality management and control specifications;
14- Conducting periodic Quality Management System Reviews, in line with Client and ISO
9001\:2008 requirements.
