Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Control Officer - Woven' will be responsible for ensuring all our quality standards are met at our suppliers premises, including in-line/final inspection, process audits, off-line quality tests as per RBO requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Inspection Management: Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate execution of in-process checks, and final product inspections at supplier sites, verifying adherence to specifications and quality plans.
Quality Reporting & Documentation: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms for supplier quality performance, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective action statuses. Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available.
Supplier Training & Development: Develop and deliver comprehensive quality training programs to supplier teams, covering topics such as quality standards, inspection procedures, defect prevention, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Defect Monitoring & Reduction: Continuously monitor supplier defect reports and trends. Collaborate closely with suppliers to identify root causes of defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to achieve significant defect reduction targets.
Customer Complaint Root Cause Analysis: Lead and facilitate thorough root cause analysis investigations for customer complaints related to supplier quality issues. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers to determine underlying causes and implement robust counter-measures.
Countermeasure Implementation & Verification: Drive the implementation of effective counter-measures identified through root cause analysis, ensuring their sustainability and verifying their effectiveness through follow-up audits and performance monitoring.
Supplier Team Development: Partner with suppliers to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop supplier quality teams, enhancing their capabilities in quality assurance, problem-solving, and process control to achieve high-quality performance.
Performance Monitoring & Audits: Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and quality system and process audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality agreements, standards, Avery Dennison and customer requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the supplier quality domain, driving the adoption of best practices and lean methodologies.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Education: BSC/MSC Chemistry, Masters in QMS
Experience: 1+ year experience in garments, labels and packaging industry..
