Where do you want to go?
As a Quality Control (QC) Chemist you will be joining a busy team of 5 who support the production of quality agricultural chemical products produced by Bayer Crop Science. Reporting to Quality Lead and working from our Pinkenba manufacturing site, you will perform QC testing following GLP of finished products, raw materials and incoming goods to ensure all products manufactured are released within specification and to the highest quality standards for our customers.
You will adhere to APVMA guidelines and ensure products meet Bayer product specifications.
You will work closely with the quality team and in collaboration with the Production and on site support teams, to ensure the release of bulk and packed products in a timely manner to meet dispatching deadlines.
What are your work hours?This role includes shifts and overtime as required. Predominantly the hours are eight (8) hours between 6 am – 4 pm Monday - Friday and occasionally on a Saturday between 6 am - 12 pm. When shiftwork is required, you will be available to work between 2 pm – 10 pm Monday to Friday.

Quality control using analytical and physical testing techniques of intermediate and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.Inspection and release of incoming goods, including raw materials, labels and packaging, based on approved specifications within 48 hours of receipt onsite.Maintenance and calibration of laboratory instrumentation.Follow Out of Specification (OOS) procedures and investigate non-conformances thoroughly and generate solutions in a timely manner.Update all relevant laboratory documentation and reportsDespatch of products complying to the ADG/IATA/IMDG codes and regulations Does this sound like you?Tertiary qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree (Chemistry) or equivalentExcellent attention to detailExceptional time management and prioritization skillsAble to work independently and as part of a team A strong commitment work Workplace Health and SafetyPrevious experience working in a QC Laboratory role is preferablePrevious experience working with HPLC, GC instruments is highly preferred Good knowledge of GLP and ideally GMP is preferable Be You @ BayerWe are committed to creating a culture where people can be their best, in an environment that values inclusion, diversity and flexibility.
