Senior QA Analyst
**Job Title: Senior QA Analyst** **Location: Anoka, MN** **Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr W2** **What’s the Job?** The client is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst who has experience with organizational modernization initiatives. This position is responsible for being the key resource in leading QA and Test execution and optimization across multiple departments. This lead role will help drive the implementation of a new software testing team. This will include the introduction of automation and the expansion of its usage throughout the organization and eventually the use of AI. This role will be key in the hands-on design and creation of test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test metrics for multiple applications and systems. This person will be responsible for proactively assessing risks and collaborating with cross functional teams to design and employ best practices in their resolution. The lead will also be responsible for creation and maintenance of test-related SOPs. This senior position will play a key role in the upskilling and process improvement of the organization towards a higher standard of software development and operations to the public. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** _These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst._ + Oversee the implementation of an enterprise level QA strategy and roadmap and QA POC for the software testing process and automation. + Oversee project test planning, execution of complex test strategies, across multiple systems. + Create test scenarios for common core workflows, and business usage models. + Support the creation and refinement of requirements to ensure functional, technical, and cybersecurity needs. + Manage the execution of manual and automated test cases, analyzing results and driving defect resolution. + Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and work with development and other cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures. + Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software specifications, user requirements, and cybersecurity standards, ensuring software quality at all stages of the development cycle. + Facilitates cross-differential negotiations and fosters collaboration and governance across various departments, disciplines and levels of leadership. + Create metrics to measure sprint quality, project quality, and process quality using dashboards. + Develop, implement, and enforce quality standards for product releases while effectively communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality, security objectives, and timelines. + Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, including tool and methodology adoption to enhance testing efficiency. + Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage, particularly for security-related aspects. + Perform security testing initiatives, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. + Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentorship to junior QA analysts, Sprint Team members, and subordinate groups. Guiding SDLC maturity initiatives, fostering professional development, supporting shift-left mindset and practices, and creating a community of practice with an emphasis on automation. + Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR, HIPAA). Assess gaps, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans. + Oversee and manage testing data and function as the key resource for organizational quality and software testing. + Lead and work effectively in a project team setting while completing tasks within the provided or accelerated timeline. Preform project management duties including capability tracking and capacity planning. + Help identify and implement quality gates from idea generation to production and support. + Assist in the employment of CI/CD/CT pipelines. + Introduce and expand the use of AI Automation and technologies. **Qualifications and Requirements:** **Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed** + Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least four years of job-related experience. + In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis + Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. **Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed** + Degree in computer science, computer engineering, software development, information technology or related field. + Six years or more of experience in setting up from scratch automation frameworks for software testing at all levels (Code, UI, Functional, API, Database, Integration, Mobile/Wireless) and across multiple systems. + Experience setting up and leading a software team from scratch, including the implementation, training, and optimization of Agile/Iterative Software Testing Practices, and supporting the necessary systems, software, and database dependencies. + Experience in automating for Web, Mobile, and Desktop applications. + Experience with process, development, and delivery automation. + Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), and Service Manager. + Experience with BDD, Performance/Load/Stress, Heartbeat & Artery Checks, and Failover/Backup Testing. + Experience with setting up automation from the ground up using Playwright and Tosca. + Experience with defect management, knowledge management, requirements management, and working closely with the CoE. + Previous Software Quality Analysis leadership experience. + Experience working in a hybrid work model (both onsite and remote).
