Senior Psychologist

Position Overview:    

The senior psychologist is responsible for completing psychological evaluations, psychosexual evaluations, and providing clinical services, including individual, group and family therapy, to residents within the Specialized Treatment Programs and King Division.  The psychologist will be engaged in treatment, assessment, and consultation.   

The senior psychologist shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) team, supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The senior psychologist is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior modification (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The senior psychologist is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.

Position Qualifications:

A minimum of two years’ experience as a licensed psychologist.  Experience can be outside of NY State, but a current NY State Psychology License required.  Prior experience working with children aged 5-12 years old preferred.

Schedule: 35 hours a week; hours determined on availability
