The Senior Project Manager should be able to manage large projects, guide and mentor staff and interact with the client. A Senior Project Manager will provide immediate supervision and guidance to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals for accuracy and completeness; and maintaining schedules. A Senior Project Manager will perform a variety of tasks which may include designing and planning structures and facilities such as bridges and roadways. They will analyze proposed projects to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness and may construct models to identify project specifications and meet related needs. Your Capabilities and Credentials - Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation. - Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team. - Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies. - Possesses excellent time-management skills, thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources. - Working knowledge of PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission design criteria, design manuals, and standards. - Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite. - Familiar with Microstation as well as relevant software programs which may include In Roads/Open Roads, Auto Turn, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, PondPack, Syncro, SIDRA, and Rodel. - Familiarity with PennDOT ECMS, URMS, PCIT, and EPS interfaces. Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. - Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania required. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in highway design and plan preparation for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and or the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
