Location: The Senior Project Manager for Capital Equipment is a US field-based position with approximately 50% domestic and international travel required to meet business needs.
Your Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital equipment, facilities, or construction-based projects from conception to completion. This role involves coordinating cross-disciplinary and international teams, ensuring code compliance, managing project budgets/timelines, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial or semiconductor settings, a commitment to stakeholder and vendor management, and a proven ability to deliver successful installations or expansions.
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and oversee capital equipment and construction projects, including budget, schedule, risk management, and quality assurance activities.Manage teams across multiple international locations, adapting schedules and communications to local time zones and cultural nuances.Ensure compliance with SEMI standards, relevant building codes, and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70/NEC, UBC).Lead multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, contractors, trades) across design, installation, inspection, and final project handover.Facilitate project meetings, manage communication across stakeholders, and track deliverables and milestones in collaboration with cross-functional partners.Implement and refine project management processes, including performance metrics, QA/QC procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.Oversee contractor and vendor negotiations, contracts, procurement (e.g., Ariba requisitions), and SAP-based financial tracking.Champion a culture of safety, mentoring team members on industrial and occupational safety best practices.Provide periodic progress updates, status reports, and project close-out analyses to leadership.Travel up to 50% (domestically and internationally) to collaborate with global project teams, contractors, and clients.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management. In lieu of a degree, candidate must have 10+ years’ experience in a related field.8+ years of project management experience in industrial or semiconductor environments; PMP certification or similar is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record leading tool install, facilities, or equipment-related projects with complex technical specifications.In-depth understanding of mechanical/electrical systems, installation protocols, semiconductor or manufacturing process flows, and code compliance.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project), SAP, and contract negotiation processes.Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills; ability to drive continuous improvement efforts.Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, AutoCAD, and PLC programming is advantageous.Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.
Pay Range for this position: $130,700 - $165,000
