About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, planning, coordination, implementation, execution and management of one-to-many medium projects, several large projects, and/or complex projects according to pre-determined scope, schedule and budgets. Senior Project Managers will also provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Project Managers / Project Coordinators. It is expected that the majority of time (70%) may be in customer facing activities.
This role will be focused on the project management activities in the early phases (pre-sales and early post-sales) in large scale engagements. The role will also contribute to Project Management Office strategy planning, including the development and implementation of standards jointly with the standards assurance team. Experience with, and a strong understanding of, the underpinnings of scalable PMO methodologies is a requirement. The strategic services transition Sr. PM may also facilitate project forensics to identify, and problem solve systemic issues on existing strategic accounts.
What you'll be doing

Provide status reporting throughout the project to internal and external stakeholders on progress against project schedule, and any issues and their accompanying mitigations. Quickly escalate to next level of management and/or senior management any project related issues/risks that will impact the project negatively. Ensure all project team timecards, expense reports, status reports, issue documentation, project tracker(s), project plan(s) and project documentation are entered and/or updated into the Computacenter United States Inc applications &
systems in a timely fashion, verifying accuracy and completeness. Obtain client sign-off on the Project Completion Form. Perform invoicing and project closure functions including sending and following up on Customer Satisfaction Survey’s. Senior PM’s will be called upon to mentor those around them in aspects of leadership, methodology, tools, people skills, and navigating difficult customer environments. Senior PM’s will be called upon to conduct mid project checks as well, as after-action meetings for continual improvement. Senior PM’s will be expected to have the ability to turn around any sized project that may not be performing up to Computacenter United States Inc’s high-quality expectations.
