Role description: 

We are seeking expressions of interest for future opportunities with Arcadis for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic Perth team and take a leading role in the delivery of road and civil projects through the Main Roads Engineering and Technical Services Panel. With extensive experience in infrastructure projects and a strong understanding of Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) processes and standards, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery while managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.

Role accountabilities: Manage the delivery of small to medium sized road/civil projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated project solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with Main Roads WA, local councils, contractors, and other stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the internal project team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals. Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and scheduling. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks or issues and implementing mitigation strategies. Ensure all deliverables align with Main Roads WA standards, policies, and technical requirements. Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, forecasting, and tracking expenditures to ensure financial performance. Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement activities in line with organizational policies. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior team members and encourage a culture of collaboration and innovation. Qualification & Experience: 

We are seeking somebody with a strong fit to our leadership success profile, to build and drive our culture of inclusion, accountability, human centricity and sustainability. You will possess strong learning agility, combined with a balanced mix of being curious, driving success and igniting passion and will have the following.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in managing civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on highway, civil and roadworks. Demonstrated experience delivering projects in collaboration with Main Roads WA is desirable. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Strong understanding of MRWA standards, guidelines, and processes. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
