Senior Project Manager
Position Description:

Senior Project Manager

Clearance required: Eligible to obtain Secret Clearance (minimum 10+ years residing in Canada)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Expertise in full-cycle project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex software development projects
• Proven ability to lead and motivate large cross-functional teams, including product owners, scrum masters, and multiple scrum teams
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS-Office suite, Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, MS-Teams, etc.)
• Experience in risk management, conflict resolution, consensus building, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
• Deep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and modern software engineering practices
• Ability to analyze project data, track metrics (e.g., burn-down charts), make data-driven decisions, and report on project progress & forecasts

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years’ experience in IT project management
• Expertise in full-cycle project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex software development projects
• Experience with both Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies; ability to blend approaches as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting at all organizational levels.

Preferred:
• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe) preferred
• Ability to support & coach the team on SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and ART (Agile Release Train) principles and best practices
• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Financial / Banking experience
• At least 5 years' experience managing software development projects using Agile/Scrum
• Familiarity with Cloud, Micro-Services architecture, Security, and DevOps concepts is an asset
