Senior Project Manager

 General: 

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for providing deep expertise to optimize the organization's investment in projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, efficient resource utilization, and consistent delivery of value. This role will drive project delivery excellence through the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within our organization. The Sr. Project Manager will champion a culture of effective project delivery, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations Support the Chief of Staff with the execution and tracking of strategic initiatives to support our organizational goals.Assist with the development and implementation of operational strategies, process improvements, and best practices across business units.Work closely with Revenue Operations to aid in managing the needs of the go-to-market teams across insights and enablement.Portfolio Management: Enterprise Portfolio: Provide oversight to Gryphon’s Enterprise project portfolio, ensuring optimal resource allocation and inter-project dependency management.  Conduct regular portfolio reviews with senior leadership, acting as moderator for project prioritization and resource adjustments. Identify and work with leadership to mitigate project risks and issues at the portfolio level.Strategic Alignment: Work with executive leadership to ensure the project and program portfolio directly supports the company's strategic objectives, long-term vision, and overall business value.Investment Prioritization: Manages and improves frameworks for evaluating, prioritizing, and selecting projects based on ROI, risk, resource availability, and strategic impact. Leads analysis and provides recommendations to the executive steering committee.Value Realization: Establishes metrics and processes to track and measure the realization of expected business value from completed projects and programs within the portfolio.Reporting: Ensure data integrity and consistency in all portfolio project reporting. Manage insightful reporting on project status, progress, risks, budget adherence, and resource utilization for leadership.Project Management: Tackles the hardest problems: Takes on the most ambiguous, complex, and high-risk challenges that transcend individual teams or departments. Lead or support the management of complex programs (multiple interrelated projects) as required.Responsible for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for project success.Act as a central point of contact for project-related inquiries and escalations.Identify and resolve issues, dependencies, and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.Manage inter-team dependencies to ensure smooth project execution.Ensure adherence to agile methodologies as defined by team leadership and continuous improvement of team processes on applicable assignments.Communication and Reporting Exceptional communication: Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both individual contributors and executive audiences (verbal, written, presentation).Persuasion and negotiation: Influences direction and resource allocation through logic, expertise, and strong arguments rather than positional authority.Cross-functional collaboration: Builds strong relationships and trust across different departments (Product, Sales, Marketing, Engineering).Advanced Facilitation: Skilled at leading complex, multi-stakeholder discussions, achieving consensus, and resolving high-level conflicts.Active Listening & Empathy: Understands the varied perspectives and priorities of different functional leaders to build collaborative solutions.Superior Communication Execution: Facilitate effective communication channels for all project-related information, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and post-mortems.Prepare and present regular project reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 4+ years of progressive experience in project management, ideally at a technology company or consultancy.   Understanding and application of diverse project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), showcasing adaptability and the ability to tailor approaches based on project needs. Autonomy & self-direction: Highly self-motivated, able to identify critical problems and drive solutions independently with minimal oversight; self-directed.Adaptability: Thrives in ambiguous environments, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to adapt strategies as new information emerges. Approach complex, ambiguous problems with a highly organized and logical mindset.Big Picture Thinking: Ability to connect micro-level project details to macro-level business strategy and organizational goals.Drives organizational transformation through successful portfolio and project delivery.Demonstrated experience in planning and orchestrating assignments to completion. 

 

Additional Qualifications:

Exceptional work ethic, with strong values and principles – takes every opportunity to go above and beyond. Detail-oriented: able to notice the little things that make a big difference  Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.Experience with collaboration and planning tools including Jira and Planner.  Proven expertise in corporate project management and business operations, with several years of experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives and managing cross-functional project portfolios. Deep understanding of cross-departmental interdependencies and the impact of operational changes on overall business performance.Change Management skills: business case development, communication strategy, reinforcement plans, generate sponsorship, assess the climate, prioritize action.Experience with Business Intelligence tools and governance.
