Senior Project Manager
**Description** **Position Title: Senior Project Manager** **Department: Project Management** **Location: 4481 Perth County Line 72 Newton ON N0K 1R0 Canada** **About AGI** AGI is a global food-based infrastructure company publicly traded in Canada. With over 4,200 employees and over 30 global manufacturing brands, AGI is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain and feed systems and an expanding platform for food processing facilities. **The Opportunity** Following and implementing best practice Project Management methodologies, the Senior Project Manager will be the main point of communication guiding projects through the entire customer experience process and will be responsible for scope, budget and schedule management. **Responsibilities** + Lead major project initiatives including interpreting all project requirements during the hand-off from Sales/Application Engineering process and developing and executing a project execution plan. + Develop and maintain project plans, coordinating all major project activities; track critical path milestones, accomplishments, and results. Ensure that end to end project planning, risk identification, dependency tracking, issues identification/escalation, and change management are being managed appropriately utilizing best practice project management standards. + Build relationships with senior leaders and other Program/Project owners; interact with prepare materials for, and present to Senior Management as required. + Oversee and direct projects from Sales handover through commissioning and startup. + Work directly with the sales team to develop project costs and project development timelines + Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. + Provide leadership through influence to supporting functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales and manufacturing. + Support on-site installs and 3 rd party contractors. + Collaborate with engineers, millwrights, suppliers, etc. to determine the specifications of the project. + Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation plans and reports, including issuing all appropriate legal paperwork, contracts and terms of agreement. + Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies + Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned **Qualifications** + Extensive knowledge in material handling and systems primarily for commercial agricultural industries + 7-10 years' progressive experience in Project Management field preferably in an installation and service atmosphere + PMP Designation/Certification or working towards. + Working knowledge of FDA food equipment and design standards. + Understanding food plant Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs), area designation, clean design requirements and the impact to process and equipment layout designs. + Superior communication skills and attention to detail. + Strong Business Analysis and Project Management capabilities, with a strong mechanical aptitude. + Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution. + Advanced skills in Word, Excel, Outlook. + Knowledge in AutoCAD and SolidWorks would be an asset. + Evening and weekend hours may be required. + Ability to travel domestically on occasion. + Experience in grain handling industry would be an asset. **Why AGI?** We’re leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here’s how: We’re the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world’s grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies. Dedicated to safety, innovation and customization, AGI offers one of the largest catalogs of equipment and full-service planning and engineering services for the storage, blending, mixing, conveying, conditioning, and processing of agricultural products worldwide.
