Your role

 

In this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and community infrastructure projects for our clients in Southern Ontario. We are seeking project leaders with experience in delivering linear civil infrastructure, including: roads, bridges, water/wastewater, transit and/or rail.

Responsibilities Provide leadership to the client's projects, representing their best interests and achieving their strategic end goals.Be a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction and operation of community infrastructure.Lead clients through the set-up, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting of their projectsOrganize project teams towards a common goal and establish levels of authority and lines of communication.Provide accountability for project quality and financial metrics based on Colliers’ Quality Management System and key performance indicatorsChair key project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders.Apply your leadership and communication skills to bring together stakeholders and project teams.Mentor and develop Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.Serve as the relationship manager for select clients with the goal to nurture trusted relationships.Contribute to planning and growth of the infrastructure and/or other sectors within the Southern Ontario business unit, including proactive participation in helping to achieve annual business unit sales targetsLead proposal response to RFPs and develop new opportunities through client account management Qualifications A degree or diploma in civil, municipal engineering or a related engineering discipline.P. Eng. and PMP designations preferred.Minimum 10 years of consulting engineering experience delivering capital projects for municipalities.Previous exposure to capital and municipal planning for infrastructure developmentExtensive client-facing experience in the delivery of related projects.Led and/or significantly contributed to the preparation of proposals, RFP/Q’s, tenders and tender awards.Strong working knowledge of a variety of design and construction delivery models and associated industry standard contracts.Practical understanding of provincial government planning legislation and processes.The leadership skills needed to influence decisions and resolve client and project issues.Active presence in the infrastructure industry and desire to continue growing your networkExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project).
