Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Project Manager to join our team located in our Baltimore, MD office. This individual will serve as a leader within the team, overseeing multiple projects, and maintaining strong client relationships. As a Project Manager, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Ports & Marine projects:
Manages one or more complex projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOMProvides project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projectsIdentifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendationsDevelops and implements project management methodologies and best practices across the teamConducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies for complex marine engineering projectsClient Relationships: Ability to assist in developing new client relationships and to strengthen existing client relationships. Ability to identify, understand and focus on clients' key requirementsTeam leadership: good team leadership skills. Self-starter, energetic, pro-activeManage engineering design as the supervisorReview designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawingsCollects and analyzes dataUse computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problemsPerform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and scheduleCollaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of various engineering disciplines in port and marine projectsOversees the preparation and submission of regulatory permits and environmental impact assessments for marine projectsMentors and develops junior project managers and team members to enhance overall team capabilitiesParticipates in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations for new marine engineering opportunitiesQualificationsMinimum Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Maritime Engineering with 10years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Engineer License with the ability to attain reciprocity in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, or Pennsylvania within 6 months of hireDue to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is requiredProject Management experience in marine terminal related infrastructurePreferred Qualifications
Previous experience in leading projects meeting required quality, timeliness, and budget parametersExperience with computer aided design (AutoCAD)Good presentation and communication skills in EnglishGood report and proposal writing skillsExperience with ArcGISPrevious experience in maintaining client relationshipsExperienced in planning, design, and construction managementPrevious experience with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) planning and designAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
