Senior Project Manager, Customer Excellence & Transformation Enablement (Hybrid)

This position will be in the Customer Excellence and Transformation Enablement (CETE) PMO team within the Instruments group. The Senior Project Manager (PM) will lead multiple types of projects ranging from enterprise and division projects to CETE strategic and operational projects.  The Senior PM will lead the most complex projects and will have accountability and authority for achieving a project’s objectives. The Sr PM will direct a cross functional team aiming to complete a successful project on time and within budget.     

 

In addition, the Sr PM will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CETE’s project methodology by providing guidance and coaching to the project team on the project approach, tools, and resources to optimize the likelihood of successful project delivery. 

 

The Sr PM will contribute to the advancement of the PMO function and its ability to deliver projects which are repeatable, predictable, and sustainable through the creation and improvement of project resources, tools, templates, and systems including the CETE Knowledge Base. 

Key areas of responsibility 

Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control project.  Evaluate tradeoffs within project. 

Organize and facilitate project status meetings with the project team. 

Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop, manage and own project scope. 

Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure by working with project SMEs and functional managers, as applicable. Analyze critical path and major workstreams. 

Utilize the CETE methodology and tools to manage the project including status reporting, and logs (risks, actions, issues, decisions).  

Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan. 

Work with managers to acquire project team resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional managers on performance reviews.    

Develop and execute a stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations. 

Develop and execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders. 

Provide mentorship, coaching, and consulting to other project managers within the organization to build organizational skills and capability in project management. 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.Minimum of 6 years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP or equivalent certification.At least 2 years of experience managing multiple projects with increasing complexity across multiple functions.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience executing projects within a standard project management methodology.Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for product design.Experience leading projects in medical device or regulated industries.

 

Travel Percentage: 10%
