Senior Project Engineer – Power Production & Distribution

We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Engineer with expertise in power production and distribution to join our Electrical Solutions team. This role will primarily work on projects with AC distribution systems.

Location: Fornebu or Ulsteinvik, Norway

Your Responsibilities

Dimension and design of AC Swichboards, protection relay logic, generators and AVR.Coordinate with shipyards, shipowners, classification societies, ABB factories, and subcontractorsEnsure technical quality and compliance throughout project deliveriesProvide technical support during commissioning phases.Travel occasionally to customer sites, suppliers, and shipyards

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power system designBachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering—or relevant experience as a ship electrician.Strong understanding of power system dynamics, generators, protection relays, and switchboardsAbility to combine practical skills with theoretical knowledgeProficiency in English, both spoken and writtenCultural awareness and mutual respect—ABB is a diverse and international workplace
