We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and completion of complex electrical and electro-mechanical projects from concept to production. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. What YOU Will Do:
Support new project estimating, including risk assessment and planning.Contribute to the integrated master schedule and project planningPerform Control Account Management (CAM) activities to include:Create work and planning packages, coordinate with finance for charge number creationOversee project and budget status, manage schedules, and ensure on-time deliverablesManage Level 5 Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) supporting EVMS compliance, including ETC calculations, BCR processing, and generation of variance analysisTrack activities against plan and manage work scope, clearly communicating any challenges or changes to key stakeholdersInterface with Earned Value teams, program teams, engineering product teams to ensure level-loaded and accurate representation in workload planning toolsPursue cost savings and efficient improvement opportunities to maximize project profitabilitySupport maintenance of engineering design/modeling guidance and instructionsClearly communicate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and metSupport the preparation of technical documentation and reportsLead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts to identify the causes for development related issuesEnsure adherence to group project engineering discipline to ensure excellent project execution and process improvementStringent compliance to risk and change managementDrive retrospective project review, including report-out and feedback to estimatingWhat YOU Will Learn:
Master advanced project management techniques, including the use of EVMS tools to ensure project successDevelop strategic risk management skills by identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks to maintain project momentum and achieve customer satisfactionCollaborate with and lead cross-functional teams, enhancing your leadership abilities and an understanding of complex technical projectsGain in-depth experience in FPGA closed-loop control systems, actuation systems, and power electronics within a highly regulated aerospace environmentExpand your expertise in integrating design, development, and testing processes, from conceptual design through to final product release, contributing to the future of aerospace technologyQualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experienceProficiency in project management software and toolsDetail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goalsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentKnowledge of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices is a plusU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer:
