(Senior) Project Engineer (m/f/d) New Product Development of medical devices

**What you will do:**
+ Develop innovative solutions for orthopedic and Trauma applications (http://www.stryker.com/de/de/portfolios/orthopaedics/trauma-and-extremities.html)
+ Create detailed technical product specifications and assess functionality for compliance with design requirements
+ Collaborate with a cross-functional team to advance technical solutions from concept to market release state
+ Continuous supervision of own development progress to ensure timely, high-quality completion
Key responsibilities include:
+ Understand costumer needs and independently develop and establish smart design solutions including modeling, prototyping, technical specification, test planning and execution and design documentation
+ Work with surgeon customers in a user setting, clearly communicate design goals, drive design decisions and incorporate feedback into designs
+ Perform holistic problem analysis, design and implement solutions to address identified problems
+ Ensure compliance with the relevant requirements in cooperation with other engineering disciplines
+ Implement innovative and state-of-the-art technologies
+ Work with cross-functional team to advance technical solutions, determine project schedules and time commitments of self and be able to clearly communicate status of assignments to project management.
**What You will Need:**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor's degree in science, prefer Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, prefer Masters Degree in a technical discipline
+ Experience in (complex) product development from concept through release
+ Ability to perform cooperative and efficient teamwork in technical work groups
+ Experience with a parametric CAD design package (ProE)
+ Demonstrated understanding of product design including technical calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), GD&T and its application
**Preferred:**
+ Product design experience in Orthopaedics in the regulated medical device industry or equivalent (relevant internship experiences will be considered)
+ Experience in the clinical and performance requirements of orthopedic implants
