Join Collins Aerospace as a **Senior Project Engineer** . We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations.
In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices and ensuring the effective functioning of Scrum teams. You will function as a Scrum Master and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
This position will sit at our **Aguadilla, PR** location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as **hybrid** , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
**What YOU will do:**
+ Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
+ Coach and guide the team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality software products.
+ Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions to ensure smooth progress.
+ Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
+ Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and understood by the team.
+ Ensure the team delivers value in each sprint by meeting commitments and delivering potentially shippable increments.
+ Monitor and report on team performance metrics, such as velocity and burndown charts.
+ Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
+ Promote continuous improvement by encouraging team feedback and implementing action plans from retrospectives.
+ Keep up to date with industry’s best practices and emerging trends in Agile and software development.

**Qualifications you must have:**
+ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
+ Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Proven track record as a Scrum Master in a software development environment, leading Agile teams to success.
+ Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and mentoring to enhance Agile team performance and collaboration.
+ Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, or similar platforms.
+ Strong understanding of software development life cycles, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
