Patriot Advanced Capability- 3 (PAC-3) is seeking an experienced and well-rounded Senior Project Engineer to identify solutions to complex problems and execute multi-disciplinary engineering solutions to solve them in Huntsville, AL. The PAC-3 program is an air-defense, missile system designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft where Boeing is the original engineering manufacturer of the seeker. Boeing’s seekers provide active data to the PAC-3 missile which enables it to acquire, intercept and destroy threats using hit-to-kill technology. The PAC-3 team is organized into Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) consisting of cross functional, highly skilled, motivated group embracing the beliefs that focused safety, execution, LEAN manufacturing and business practices will secure our future and well-being, driving our product to be the seeker of choice for the PAC-3 program and future generations of weapon systems. The successful candidate will work in support of an IPT to help coordinate their solutions to support the capacity ramp challenges for production.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects related to the PAC-3 program, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines

Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget management

Organize and facilitate multi-functional engineering efforts, bringing together diverse teams to address technical challenges and drive solutions

Support proposal development activities, including technical writing, cost estimation, and risk assessment

Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring clear communication across teams

Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track

Utilize engineering principles and methodologies to analyze problems and develop innovative solutions

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace industries

Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects, with a strong understanding of production and development processes

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management

Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.)

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor/Masters of Electrical Engineering

Familiarity with RF systems and missile seeker technologies

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  


Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
