We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Airports and Specialised Pavements team. The position is ideally suited to candidates experienced with Asphalt, Surfacing & Paving or Civil Construction with a focus on Airports and Racetracks. Experience with Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems is highly desirable. This role will require national travel and will be responsible for the delivery of various projects. The successful candidate can be based out of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

ABOUT YOU

Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, along with more than 7 years of Engineering exposure in airports, racetrack, civil road construction or road maintenance.Experience with AGL systems, including installation and commissioning, working on operational airfields and familiarity with regulatory standards such as MOS139 highly regarded.A successful track record of proactively building relationships with key clients, stakeholders and developing new business opportunitiesStrong negotiation & problem-solving skills  A well-developed understanding of planning, execution and financial reporting of projectsStrong planning, time management and organizational skillsA proactive approach to change management with the capacity to lead and inspire teams  National travel will be requiredCommitment to quality outcomes with a focus on delivering in full and on timeStrong safety focus - actively participate in and support Downer Zero Harm initiatives and strategies
