Senior Program Manager, Launch Planning
Description As Senior Launch Planning Program Manager, you will drive end-to-end delivery station (DS) launch planning while solving our most complex network challenges. Your innovative solutions and methodologies will set new standards across the Japanese network, transforming how we approach future launches. Key job responsibilities 1) Strategic Planning • Handle the organization's most complex and ambiguous launch programs • Manage multiple launch projects concurrently • Conduct ROI analysis for strategic investment decisions • Optimize DS performance throughout the entire lifecycle 2) Process Optimization and Standardization • Architect solutions for new challenges that lack existing playbooks or frameworks • Resolve complex systematic inefficiencies that impact the entire network • Drive strategic alignment between Japan and global initiatives, identifying opportunities to adapt global best practices for Japanese market challenges 3) Stakeholder Management and Communication • Serve as primary POC on projects, facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders • Manage project timelines and provide regular updates to leadership • Navigate regulatory requirements and foster local partnerships About the team Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is a division responsible for managing Amazon's last-mile delivery and providing high-quality, attractive delivery services to customers. While striving to optimize delivery costs and improve delivery experience, we are focusing on nationwide expansion of Delivery Stations (DS), our final delivery facilities, to further expand our logistics network. Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of program or project management experience - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Business Level English (Japanese is a plus) Preferred Qualifications - Relevant degree/certification (Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, PMP) - Logistics industry experience - Strong data analysis and Excel skills - Track record of successfully managing cross-departmental initiatives - Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
