Amazon's Global Tax Services team seeks a capable and motivated individual to optimize tax data delivery processes and drive evolution in our data management products. Success in our initiatives will ultimately lower the operation cost to serve Tax Compliance and Controllership.
The right individual should have solid business judgment that enables their development of business logic to transforms data and meet the needs of Tax and Accounting.




Key job responsibilities
This role will have a diverse range of responsibilities including:
• Data Analysis: Conduct analysis of tax reporting data, address data quality issues, and define functional requirements for technical development.
• Product Engagement: Influence product roadmap for features and functionality that will support tax data operations.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with tax teams to enhance efficiency and controllership in current processes and educate stakeholders on data sourcing for tax reporting.
• Metrics Development: Support the creation of new metrics to quantify the value of data standardization.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering relationships with tax, business, and engineering teams across Amazon.
• Communication: Ability to explain financial and technical concepts and analyses clearly to individuals at all levels, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable plan.
