Senior Program Manager, Digital Vehicle Access
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Technical Innovation Center in Warren (MI) or Mountain View (CA) three times per week, at minimum. This position can be located at either of these locations.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the execution of cutting-edge programs within GM’s Digital Vehicle Access team - enabling drivers to unlock and start their vehicles with authenticated mobile devices instead of a traditional key fob.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the most innovative features in the automotive industry. You’ll guide complex software initiatives from concept to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams and top tech partners like Apple and Google. What You'll Do
Lead full program lifecycle: planning, execution, risk management, and delivery
Align roadmaps and resources across product, engineering, and system teams
Represent GM in partnerships with third-party platforms (Apple, Google)
Manage field and launch issues, coordinating resolutions in real time
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes
Track progress, communicate updates, and escalate risks as needed
Champion process improvements to enhance speed, clarity, and execution
Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact digital access programs - from requirements and scoping through development, testing, and launch
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
5+ years of experience, including 3+ years leading complex software programs
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
Experience with vehicle software release processes and Agile development
Ability to drive decisions, resolve issues, and manage external/internal stakeholders
Experience with vehicle and back-office software release process showcasing expertise in hands on vehicle update strategies

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA with technical focus
Experience with mobile tech, connected vehicles, or digital access systems

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
The salary range for this role is $111,000 to $202,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
