We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead our payments compliance initiatives in Brazil and orchestrate payment-related regulatory projects. In this role, you will ensure Amazon Brazil's adherence to various payment regulations under a unified compliance framework.
The successful candidate will have a strong program management background and good understanding of the payment landscape. You should combine strategic thinking with practical execution, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex topics and solve problems efficiently.
Your excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, combined with strong program management skills, will be essential for success in this role. Most importantly, you should have the ability to develop and implement effective solutions for complex regulatory challenges, ensuring both compliance and operational efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop implementation guidelines and compliance reporting framework
- Orchestrate cross-functional compliance implementation programs
- Manage dependencies and timelines across multiple workstreams
- Build business cases and defend prioritization of compliance initiatives
- Ensure consistent delivery approach across various initiatives
- Provide clear visibility to stakeholders on multiple compliance initiatives
A day in the life
You'll be the key orchestrator between regulatory requirements and technical implementation. You'll collaborate with regulatory analysts, compliance product managers, and engineers to design innovative solutions and mainly implement compliance frameworks. Your day involves building relationships across teams, managing multiple workstreams, and ensuring timely delivery of compliance initiatives.
About the team
Brazil Payments is part of the International Emerging Stores Payments team and focuses on supporting the launch of new payment and financial products to our customers in Brazil. Payments Compliance is a newly formed charter to consolidate payments related regulatory initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
