KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

System Administration: Manage and maintain vendor products, ensuring system integrity and performanceIncident Management: Respond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and impact on business operationsMonitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues; generate reports on system performance and incidentsCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and support of vendor productsDocumentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and proceduresContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance system performance and support efficiencyTraining and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

3-5 years of related experience OR Combination of education and experience, ideally within financial services or techAbility to solve tactical problems and ensure project alignment with departmental goalsComprehensive knowledge of banking products, services, and industry regulations; deep understanding of current industry trends and developments; ability to lead initiatives that leverage industry knowledge to drive business improvementsDegree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field or relevant certifications and/or completion of a relevant bootcampLead compliance adherence within their projects; ensure project outcomes adhere to regulatory requirements; stay informed about regulatory changes and their impact on operations; partner with Compliance and Audit teamsLead risk assessments, develop risk mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with risk management policiesLeads projects or initiatives with moderate oversight; responsible for project outcomes and task delegation; makes decisions within defined parametersMinimum of 5 years of experience in production support or system administration, preferably with vendor productsProficiency in operating systems (Linux/Windows), scripting languages (Python, Bash), and database management (SQL)Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholdersFamiliar with ICE Encompass or SuperNova products preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS·This role operates within a hybrid office environment, 2 days onsite remaining days remote.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
