To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES** + System Administration: Manage and maintain vendor products, ensuring system integrity and performance + Incident Management: Respond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations + Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues; generate reports on system performance and incidents + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and support of vendor products + Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures + Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance system performance and support efficiency + Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** + 3-5 years of related experience OR Combination of education and experience, ideally within financial services or tech + Ability to solve tactical problems and ensure project alignment with departmental goals + Comprehensive knowledge of banking products, services, and industry regulations; deep understanding of current industry trends and developments; ability to lead initiatives that leverage industry knowledge to drive business improvements + Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field or relevant certifications and/or completion of a relevant bootcamp + Lead compliance adherence within their projects; ensure project outcomes adhere to regulatory requirements; stay informed about regulatory changes and their impact on operations; partner with Compliance and Audit teams + Lead risk assessments, develop risk mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with risk management policies + Leads projects or initiatives with moderate oversight; responsible for project outcomes and task delegation; makes decisions within defined parameters + Minimum of 5 years of experience in production support or system administration, preferably with vendor products + Proficiency in operating systems (Linux/Windows), scripting languages (Python, Bash), and database management (SQL) + Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders + Familiar with ICE Encompass or SuperNova products preferred **STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTION** US Technology, Infrastructure & Innovation (US TI&I) enables the continuous transformation of our Bank by accelerating the shift to digital, strengthening operational resilience, simplifying what we do, improving CIBC's speed to market and protecting our Bank's assets. This role has an expected salary range of_ **_$120,000.00 - $160,000.00_** _for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
