Senior Production Controller
DescriptionThe Senior Production Controller will plan and lead the end-to-end production process, ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing of garments that meet our RI standards for quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of garment production, and the ability to manage complex workflows across multiple teams.
Responsibilities:\n\nPlan, create, manage and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products \nLead production operations ensuring deadlines and standards are met. Ensure any production issues or delays are resolved quickly minimising impact. \nEnsure garments are planned in the correct factory & location, competitive prices are paid and high standard of quality is achieved. \nBalance RI demand, production capacity and material availability to optimise the production process and provide flexibility \nLead speed to market and test & react model for RI to achieve fast track deliveries \nLiaise with fabric suppliers, production teams, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of materials, labour, and equipment. \nKey communicator for the Buying, Design and merchandising teams \nOversee trim buying and cloth orders to ensure best prices, avoid shortages and overstocking \nEnsure adherence to quality standards and compliance regulations \nLead initiatives for continuous improvement in production planning and department processes. \nMonitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies for process & profit improvements. \nPrepare and present weekly reports on production progress and issues to senior management \nLead and mentor team members, providing guidance and training to enhance overall team performance. \n\nSkills \nProven experience in management production schedules and operations in a senior or lead role\nStrong analytical, problem solving and organisation skills \nExcellent communication and leadership abilities Nurturing and supporting the team \nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. \nAttention to detail with a strong focus on quality control. \nStrong knowledge of garment production processes, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packaging. \nStrong negotiation skills \nProduction planning, factory knowledge, factory management experience is required \nProfitable costings meeting RI Requirements and KPI’s \n
