Are you ready to lead the charge in bringing groundbreaking products to life? Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products division is looking for a Senior Product Supply NPI Professional who’s passionate about driving innovation, collaborating across teams, and making a real impact in the world of construction.

In this exciting role, you’ll be at the heart of our New Product Introduction (NPI) process—guiding procurement strategies, influencing supplier decisions, and ensuring our supply chain is ready to support the next generation of Caterpillar products. You’ll work closely with design, operations, and sourcing teams to turn ideas into reality, all while championing quality, timeliness, and strategic execution.

What You Will Do (Job Duties)

Drive Innovation: Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring every step meets high standards of quality and timeliness.Own the Process: Track NPI progress, hold cross-functional teams accountable, and support procurement-related capital planning to keep projects on course and on budget.Lead with Impact: Provide strategic leadership to procurement teams, aligning sourcing decisions with category strategies and resource planning to support successful product launches.Build the Future Supply Chain: Collaborate with operations and product development teams to design and implement supply chains that support new product rollouts.Shape Supplier Strategy: Research and evaluate current and potential suppliers, offering expert recommendations that influence supplier selection and strengthen our global network.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

Project Management: Demonstrated success managing cross-functional, global projects, driving timelines, and delivering results in complex, fast-paced environments.Problem Solving: Proven track record of navigating ambiguity, resolving supply chain challenges, and implementing strategic solutions that improve outcomes.Effective Communications: Skilled in presenting ideas clearly, building consensus across teams, and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. Experience working with international teams and suppliers, navigating cultural and regional differences to drive alignment and achieve shared goals.Procurement: Solid background in sourcing, supplier evaluation, and supply chain development, with experience supporting new product introductions and aligning with category strategies.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.Deep expertise and progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain, quality, logistics, or operations within a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated success in leading teams, projects, or cross functional programs.

Additional Info:

Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.Travel: up to 20% domestic and international travel is expected.Relocation: Not available.ISE: Not available.Visa Sponsorship: Not available.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
