HBO Max originally launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. It rolled out globally across Latin America and the Caribbean in 2021, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain later that year. In May 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery introduced Max, an enhanced streaming platform, in the U.S. HBO Max is currently available in 46 countries and there are plans for the continued global expansion of Max in 2024.
Your New Role...
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead and develop key aspects of the viewing experience for our industry-leading HBO Max streaming service. This role is focused on empowering customers with more control and personalization over how they watch — whether offline or live. From seamless downloads to enhanced live event playback, this role is central to shaping a future-forward, user-first streaming experience.
You will take ownership of the product area around “customer agency”, including offline viewing, live playback, and AI-powered enhancements like automated highlights, smart event alerts, and multi-language live captions. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across product design, engineering, data science, and operations to bring intelligent, scalable features to life.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Drive innovation in the offline and live experiences through new feature development, delivery and performance improvements and viewer customization.
Explore and define AI use cases such as (but not limited to):
AI-generated highlights
Real-time multi-language captions
Automated event detection (e.g. segments, start/stop, goals, timeouts)
Predictive models for game outcomes or viewer engagement
Roadmap Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sports product, marketing, and content, to define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and capabilities. Create and manage the product roadmap to ensure timely delivery of milestones and align with business priorities.
User Experience: Champion the user-centric approach, continually evaluating and improving the models to deliver an intuitive, seamless, and personalized user experience. Analyze user feedback, conduct usability testing, and leverage data analytics to drive data-informed decisions.
Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitors' offerings in the streaming services space. Conduct competitive analysis and leverage insights to differentiate and improve our product offering.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, engineering teams, marketing teams, and customer support, to align product strategy with business objectives. Effectively communicate product vision, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Collaboration & Coaching: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assist management in developing and coaching early career Product Managers.
Product Launch and Adoption: Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and support the successful launch of new features and products. Monitor product adoption, gather customer feedback, and iterate on product offerings based on user needs and preferences.
Qualifications & Experience...
8+ years of product management experience, ideally within streaming, media, or consumer technology.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in shipping high-quality products at scale.
Experience with live or offline media consumption features is a strong plus.
Exposure to AI/ML concepts and an ability to translate them into user-centric product opportunities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Familiarity with video playback technologies, media formats, and live streaming architectures preferred.
Product management experience in sports, entertainment, or event-driven content domains preferred.
Experience with AI-powered consumer features preferred (e.g., personalization, content summarization, real-time analysis, and generative AI).

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
