Position Overview 


We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our Time Off Accruals and Leave Management solutions. In this high-impact role you'll own our leave management strategy and drive execution around leave and time off capabilities that power modern employee time off and leave experiences, employer compliance, and HR efficiency. You’ll also serve as a domain mentor, educating junior PMs and internal teams on best practices across industries and regions. 


Who You Are 

Domain & Policy Expertise: Deep understanding of leave of absence programs (FMLA, state leave laws, paid/unpaid leave), strong grasp of time off accrual and statutory leave policies and configurations, and broad familiarity with global leave practices and statutory requirements Mentor & Educator: Act as a thought leader and internal SME, regularly coaching product peers, supporting junior PMs, educating cross-functional partners on best practices and emerging trends, and translating complex compliance requirements into clear product decisions Compliance & Regulatory Strategist: Work closely with our Government Relations team to monitor law changes, evaluate the impact of regulatory updates, and ensure the product roadmap accounts for required changes Cross-Functional Collaborator: Collaborate with legal, operations, other product teams, and engineering to build aligned, scalable solutions Agile Execution Leader: Experienced leading agile teams, managing roadmaps across multiple workstreams, and breaking down complexity into MVPs for iterative delivery Strategic Thinker: Able to connect roadmap decisions to client outcomes and business objectives 

During Your First 6 Months 

Learn the Ecosystem: Understand Paylocity’s Time Off Accruals and Leave Management system, configuration capabilities, and platform dependencies Build Relationships: Partner with engineering, services, compliance, and Government Relations teams to establish trust and shared priorities Shape the Roadmap: Build and evolve the roadmap for our Leave Management product and help shape the roadmap for Time Off and Accruals to meet changing compliance needs, user expectations, and platform strategy Drive Delivery: Translate ideas into features, own the backlog, and lead delivery efforts Elevate the Team: Mentor junior PMs, share best practices across teams, and help elevate the product management discipline in your domain 

Required Experience 

5+ years in product management, ideally in HCM, workforce management, or compliance-heavy platforms Direct experience with time off, leave, or benefits-related product areas Strong understanding of compliance implications tied to leave laws (FMLA, state-specific, and international) Experience working with legal/government relations teams and turning regulations into scalable solutions Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate junior product managers Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive presence

The pay range for this position is $128,000 - $182,800 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here Benefits Link. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location. Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.  You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance.
