Senior Product Manager Telecom

Johnson Service Group is looking for a remote Sr. Telecom Billing Product Manager for one of their clients- A pioneer in real-time digital monetization platforms, helping telecom providers design, launch, and manage next-generation services faster and more efficiently. Must work Eastern Standard Hours.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in product roadmap definition with stakeholders, defending and adapting plans as needed based on feedback.
Own strategic roadmap initiatives, coordinating to define domain-specific product vision and roadmap.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and partners regarding product roadmap and strategic initiative discussions.
Conduct roadmap reviews with partners and roadmap sessions with customers to align product direction and investments with partner vision and customer business needs.
Create high-quality product literature, presentations, and communication materials to support new strategic initiatives.
Oversee management of assigned domain areas within the Converged Charging Solution suite of applications.
Review high-level and detailed design specifications to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Balance trade-offs to maximize product impact and market competitiveness.
Collaborate with product marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning, content, collateral, and sales tools.
Adhere to department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and lead audits of domain/region-specific requirement repositories.
Requirements –Skills & Experience
Telecom industry background with knowledge of billing in B2C, B2B, B2B2X, and Wholesale areas to engage in transformation project discussions.
Proven hands-on experience in product management or technical pre-sales within telecom BSS (Business Support Systems).
Exposure to Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and finance concepts related to telecom billing.
Experience defining integration requirements and interface specifications between Network, OCS/CCS, Billing, CRM, Catalog, Order Management, and other northbound/southbound applications.
Proficiency with API technologies, application integration, and both asynchronous and synchronous communications, including security and data transformation.
Strong understanding of cloud-native concepts, cloud services, and public/private cloud deployments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
Experience working with remote, highly distributed teams with minimal supervision.
Strong customer-facing technical background, including RFP responses and technical proposal development.
Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
Hands-on approach to software configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of TM Forum industry standards (especially ODA) and/or 3GPP Diameter/5G Charging and Policy specifications.
Experience with big data, cloud security, or message streaming technologies.
Salary: $200K
