Senior Product Manager (STLA-Brain)

The Senior Platform Product Manager of STLA-Brain in the Software Organization leads the portfolio direction for the vehicle platform, spanning base software, core platform services, and body domain applications. This role bridges cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver scalable, robust platforms that accelerate product teams across the organization.  You will be collaborating closely with business stakeholders, users, and other product managers to ensure the STLA-B platform supports the needs of all stakeholders. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   

Establishes and owns the vision and strategic priorities for products within your domain  Develop, maintain, and communicate a prioritized roadmap for base software, core services, and body domain applications.  Lead product discovery and MVP scoping; manage the backlog and ensure that deliverables align with business needs.  Ensures the product backlog reflects the vision and strategy by working closely with other Product Managers  Collaborates with stakeholders to define objectives & key results (OKR), product themes, and features  Uses business cases to make the case for new features and products/technology  Sets product feature priorities and timelines, analyzes trade-offs, and considers business & sales impact of different features to provide data-driven prioritized requirements to engineering teams  Collaborates with the team to detail features with business value and acceptance criteria  Coordinates dependencies with other product managers within the Software organization  Builds relationships with key stakeholders and other influencers  Works cross functionally with other product areas within the Software Organization and across the enterprise  Considers flexibility and scalability as core attributes of the platform  Continuously researches industry developments, new market trends and forces, and understands how our products are performing with current customers  Present roadmap status, product updates, and business impact to technical/business leaders.  Monitor automotive trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in platform and body domain software. 

Basic Qualifications:   

Bachelor of Science in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent  A minimum of 8 years relevant technical experience including a minimum of 2 years technical leadership experience  Desire to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape  Knowledge and experience with vehicle hardware/software development and launch of successful products  Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team with system/solution architects, HW designers, SW architects/developers, HW/SW integrators, and business teams  Strong relationship building skills, including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of an organization  Strong listening, technical writing, and oral communication skills in English  Outstanding skills in presenting to both technical and executive audiences  

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

Master of Science in Electrical, Computer, Information Technology or equivalent  A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Manager of an embedded software/hardware product   Background in product management of automotive products    Work experience at OEMs or suppliers with electrical/electronic (E/E) architectures, specifically Vehicle System Architecture, software architecture, automotive electronics, interfaces, and protocols used in automotive domain  A software development background with experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python)  Experience with embedded software/hardware product development and lifecycles, including agile methodologies  Experience working with in an Agile environment  Experience working with AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive), QNX, and/or Linux  Experience working with automotive networks (i.e. CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and protocols (e.g. UDS, SOME/IP, etc.)   Experience working with service-oriented architectures  Experience with cybersecurity and functional safety concepts for automotive products    Experience working with automotive MPUs and/or MCUs   Knowledge of ADAS and Cockpit systems   Experience with IOT, Streaming, or Edge computing technologies
